DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – January 13, 2009 – As the start to the 2009 Grand Am Rolex Sports Car Series approaches, Brad Jaeger looks forward to a new season with Doran Racing along with a new primary sponsor and color scheme for the #77 Doran Racing entry. Earlier this morning it was announced that McDonald’s will be the primary sponsor for the #77 Doran Racing Ford Dallara starting with the first race of the season, the Rolex 24 at Daytona, which is less than two weeks away.
Brad will co-drive the #77 McDonald’s entry with Memo Gidley, Fabrizio Gollin, and Matteo Bobbi. “It’s exciting to return to Daytona with almost the same driver lineup that we had last year, with Memo, Fabrizio and myself driving again. I met Matteo for the first time at the test a couple of weeks ago even though we were competing against each other for most of last year’s season. I think he’ll be a great addition to the team,” remarked Jaeger. “I couldn’t be happier to have the support of McDonald’s. They’re a company recognized by almost everyone around the world, and I hope we can grow this into a truly beneficial marketing program for them.”
“We’re excited about bringing McDonald’s on board for the 2009 Rolex 24 and other races,” said Kevin Doran, whose team won the Rolex 24 in 1998 and again in 2002. “McDonald’s is well-known and will bring significant exposure to our team and Grand-Am. This is a great opportunity and we expect to put the No. 77 Ford Dallara up front this season.”
The Rolex 24 at Daytona starts at 3:30 p.m. ET on January 24. The first 90 minutes will be broadcast on FOX starting at 3:00 p.m. with the live broadcast switching to SPEED Channel after 1 hour of racing time.
